i have full version of Quake 2 (original cd) ... which i had bought long time back ... now 2day when i try 2 install it, it says this version (Q2) will not work on OS (win 98 or win2k) ...
it works on my frds pc, he has win 95 ... any other way 2 make this game work ???hmmm...thats odd...I installed on Win2k a while ago and it worked like a charm no issues. If you can go ahead and install it then despite the warning do so. I think it will still work.Well i dont think it`ll give any problems with 98 i`ve played on xp 98 even
win me no probsYeah mate !
Run the setup from the CD straightaway !
Don't install it from the Autorun screenDude...if you cant run Quake 2, i suggest you reformat, reinstall and rediscover the best game ever made. Amen.thanx 4 ur replies ...
bt even through setup file it does not install ...
whot 2 do ??? feels like burning it in HOLI ...Try the compatibility mode option in Windows XP. If that doesn't work, try this, it works very well for me. Go to the Quake II CDROM, and then go into the Install folder and then copy the entire Data folder to the hard disk, and then pop the Q2 CD in the drive, and then double click the Quake2.exe file in the Data folder. The game will load and run perfectly without an error, as it did for me and my friends. You dont even need to install the game. :DCOMOn 98 gotta support itHappily running Quake 2 on my Windows XP SP2 system still. That's one game I never uninstall. Launch the installer straight from the Setup.exe file rather than go through the autolauncher that will try to detect your OS.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
