i never got the chance to get a highschool diploma when i was in the states i moved to a different country for 4 years and well, yeah i just didn't get the chance, but i was hoping because i want to go into the US Military, i was hoping maybe there was still a chance for me to get in.. i don't have a GED either.. i know i need to get it but i at the moment dont have the skills to get it i need to study super hard. and eventually take the test ANYWAY back to my question IS it possible to get in without a Highschool Diploma and/or a GED? if so which field thing, Airforce, army, navy.. etc.?To join the Army, you either need a high school diploma, a GED, or 15 college credits.The Navy USED to have a program in which they'd let you come in without any educational accreditation but I'm unaware if they still do. I know for a fact that the Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force won't even contemplate enlisting you without a GED or HS diploma.
We're called "branches" not "field things", just for your knowledge. If you can score above a 50 on the ASVAB, you can join the Army and get your GED while you are in the Army.

US Army Recruiter 3 yearsNo you need a GED at the least.The US Coast Guard requires a GED. Not sure about the other branches.no. the National Guard alone has a program that allows you to enlist without either, but you must GET the GED before you ship to Boot camp.
additionally, GED holders must score higher on the ASVAB to be allowed in.. so frankly, if you cannot pass a GED test now, you cannot score high enough on the ASVAB to qualify anyway. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
