I started my period yesterday and it was proper dark red..almost looked black =
why would it be this dark??It usually means that its old blood u probably have alot of iron in ur blood. iron and oxygen give it that red colour.. but still go to the doc.Dont waste your single moment go to Doctor and check your Blood.its dry or old blood

Wish you the best.Sounds like to me it could mean one of two things, either you need to take a pregnancy test or your dehydrated. Those are the two main causes of dark bleeding. If this persist you may need to take a small sample to the doctors or you will need a check up to make sure your overies are alright.
